Jerry & Joann Gustin's Hot Rod Power Tour 2026, the Journey to remember from Fruita to Joliet; IL, day one; Rantoul, IL.  Day two, St.  Louis, MO.  Day three, Springfield, MO.   Day 4, and on to Tulsa, OK final day 5.  The Tour drove on Route 66 to help celebrate the Route 66 centennial.  From Tulsa, we headed home to Fruita, diving side roads the length of the Oklahoma panhandle.  Jerry and Joann started on the 5th of June and returned home on the 13th.  The Long Haul Plack requires getting your card on the lanyard issued on Day One, punched at each stop.  Distant driven 3,340; total gallons of Gas 163, average miles per gallon 20.49.  Jerry and Joann would enjoy sharing stories of the people we met and the vendors we talked with.  The people were from Canada, Virginia, Ohio, Texas, and Kansas; some on the tour were vendors, some worked in the towns, and even truck drivers who saw the older cars on the Road asked questions.  The tour is sometimes like a multistate parade, with folks sitting on the roadside in the small towns and out in their yards waving as we drove by.  We have been long haulers twice out of three Power Tours.
